But unlike the two productions at the center of the current cam­ pus debate, the Revue and Pep Rally are dorm-sponsored events and thus w ill not be impacted by any decis ions s tem m ing from Jenkins ’ addresses, U n ive rs ity spokesman Dennis Brown said Monday. “His addresses were specific to academic freedom,” Brown said. “ Residence halls would not fa ll under the umbrella since they are sponsored by non -academ ic units.” This d istinction between aca­ demic and non-academ ic units frames the administration’s treat­ ment o f residence halls and aca­ demic departm ents.
